| Today is a lesson in how big this country is, we left Kearney and headed south. The prediction was from south of Amarillo, Texas to East Kansas. | |

| By the time we had got to Hays in the middle of Kansas it was apparent the action was taking place in the SE part of the Texas Pan handle, some 450 miles away. There was no way we could do that in time. We decided to head for the good old Days Inn, Woodward for the night. It funny with all the miles you can do we have now been to this place 3 times. | |
